It comes to my mind to ask why no one is questioning the fact that the great majority of Republican House members have taken a Pledge to Grover Norquist to "never raise taxes"
I marvel that the Mainstream Media is not questioning the legality of that pledge. Those same guys took an oath of office to uphold the Consitution. It says in the Constitution: Article I Section 8 under Powers that Congress has the power to lay and collect taxes, duties......to pay for the DEBTS and PROVIDE for the common defence and GENERAL WELFARE of the United States".
In their Oath of Allegiance the swear this oath with "NO mental reservations or purpose of evasion" I say these Republican enemies of state have made this oath null and void by swearing their allegiance to an pledge written by Grover Norquist to "Never raise taxes"
